Sunny Stockholm
It is not so
fun to be stuck in one place for a long time so I decided to head
north in search of new adventures. That sounds like I’m another “Grizzly man” or some kind of Swedish version of
it; “Moose woman” aka “älg kvinnan” for the locals, but I'm not. Even though it would bring
me an eternal glory I still have some fate in humanity and I don’t want to start looking for wild friends just yet. With that in mind I only made it to
Stockholm where we relive some
memories with old friends and enjoy Swedish summer...that one day of the year.
Stockholm
is one of my favorite cities and every time I go there I discover some new amazing places. This time was the Gröna Lund theme
park and a boat trip where the Baltic Sea meets Lake Mälaren. BTW it really pays of to buy the 3 day visitor ticket for 230SEK and use all the available public transportation (buses, subway, boat).
Let’s
go back to basics now. I can’t write about Stockholm and not show all the
must see tourist points:
Old Town |
Parliament |
Royal Dramatic Theater |
The Royal Palace |
Sergels Square |
That's
all of the nice pictures that my camera could handle that weekend since I
suffer from a severe anti-tourist behavior. The problem is that I really want
to fit in the new environment and for that reason I don't like to use maps and
cameras. In my opinion nobody knows I'm a tourist even though I take round
bus trips just to come to the starting spot because I'm lost or I'm one head
taller than everybody else in China or I'm fighting for my life on a bike in
Amsterdam while my friend is skydiving from a bike next to me...list really goes
on and on.
More about Sweden is coming up soon...
