About this book...

I like to travel and everything that comes with it. From the first thought about some special place to the actual arrival, when everything smells different and you feel like a little kid again. You get desire to explore, learn about new cultures and meet new people. In our everyday life we tend to forget about that little kid inside of us but that doesn’t mean it ever disappears.

By traveling we become richer for new experiences that are fun to share with others. I would like to share some of mine…the past ones and those that are yet to come. Basically this is my way to never forget about fun times and to help some lost travelers out there to find those special places in this beautiful planet of ours. I’m not usually so poetic but thinking about this subject makes me want to use the most beautiful words, like breathtaking or halcyon.

Halcyon Days

Not from successful love alone,
Nor wealth, nor honor'd middle age, nor victories of politics or war;
But as life wanes, and all the turbulent passions calm,
As gorgeous, vapory, silent hues cover the evening sky,
As softness, fulness, rest, suffuse the frame, like freshier, balmier air,
As the days take on a mellower light, and the apple at last hangs
really finish'd and indolent-ripe on the tree,
Then for the teeming quietest, happiest days of all!
The brooding and blissful halcyon days!
(Walt Whitman)

OK, maybe that a bit too much. It's not always rainbows and butterflies when traveling around. There are those times when you are lost, broke and you don’t know anybody…you are usually surrounded with friends but they are just as lost and broke as you are. Somehow in the end when you are home feed up and warm up it all becomes a funny story. So therefore I don’t travel to reach some point in the map but because of everything that traveling gives me.
